Water Disinfection

Chlorine and peroxide-based disinfectants for municipal and process water, plus the reducing agents that quench them afterwards.

Disinfection has two halves: putting an oxidant in, and taking the residual back out before it damages what comes next.

The second half is easy to underestimate. Reverse-osmosis membranes and many discharge consents will not tolerate free chlorine, so the reducing agent is as much part of the specification as the disinfectant.

What we supply

Sodium Hypochlorite and Sodium Percarbonate for disinfection; Sodium Metabisulfite and Sodium Sulfite for dechlorination.

What we supply
Sodium HypochloriteSodium PercarbonateSodium MetabisulfiteSodium Sulfite
Hypochlorite Sodium hypochlorite remains the default disinfectant for municipal and process water — effective, well understood, and dosed against a measured residual rather than a fixed rate.
Peroxide chemistry Sodium percarbonate releases hydrogen peroxide in water, giving an oxidising route that leaves no chloride behind — which matters where chloride is itself a problem.
Quenching the residual Metabisulfite and sulfite reduce free chlorine back out of the water before it reaches a membrane or a discharge point that will not tolerate it.
