Elastomer, processed as a thermoplastic TPU recovers its shape like rubber but melts and flows like a thermoplastic — so parts can be injection moulded or extruded rather than vulcanised.
WHT-1172IC Our own TPU grade, stocked rather than sourced to order, for teams evaluating a material against an existing rubber or plasticised-PVC part.
Where it earns its place Abrasion resistance, oil resistance and toughness at low thickness — the combination that puts TPU into hoses, seals, films, footwear and cable jacketing.
