A blended fertilizer grade is built from straight materials — each chosen for its nutrient ratio, its solubility and how it behaves in the blend.
Physical compatibility matters as much as the nutrient analysis: particle size and hygroscopicity determine whether a blend segregates in the bag or cakes before it reaches the field.

MAP and DAP Monoammonium and diammonium phosphate are the phosphorus backbone. They differ in nitrogen content and in the pH they create around the granule — which is what decides suitability for a given soil and crop.
Fully water-soluble grades Monopotassium phosphate and potassium nitrate dissolve completely, which is what fertigation and foliar programmes require: no residue, no blocked emitters.
Nitrogen and potassium Urea carries the highest nitrogen concentration per tonne; potassium sulphate supplies potassium without adding chloride, for crops that will not tolerate it.
