Sterile gloves are gloves free from all microorganisms — required for any invasive procedure and wherever contact with a sterile site, tissue or body cavity is expected.
They are made from concentrated latex, and concentrated latex has to be preserved and stabilised before it can be centrifuged and dipped. That is a chemical step, and it is where we come in.

What DAP does in latex In the processing of concentrated latex, diammonium phosphate preserves the fresh latex, precipitates magnesium and stabilises it — added the night before the centrifugal process so magnesium ammonium phosphate settles out as sludge.
Why magnesium has to go Magnesium left in the latex destabilises it downstream. Precipitating it before centrifuging is what makes concentrated latex behave predictably in the dipping line.
